Travis Copenhaver is a partner in VS’s Michigan office, where he focuses on cannabis business licensing, intellectual property, and regulatory compliance. In his licensing work, Travis advises new and existing cannabis businesses in initiating, developing, and expanding their presence in the Michigan cannabis market. He began his career in cannabis working with one of the key authors of the legislation that became PA 281 of 2016, the Michigan Medical Marihuana Facilities Licensing Act.

Kim Napoli is the director of diversity, equity & inclusion at VS. As a leading member of the firm's Impact & ESG Practice Group, she is responsible for assisting clients in the creation, implementation, and progress made towards their goals related to diversity, equity and inclusion. She also works to ensure compliance in these areas as they relate to regulations and laws at the state and federal levels, with a focus on plans to positively impact communities.
Senior Associate Attorney
Habeeb Syed focuses his practice on corporate and business law, advising companies in all matters, including contracts, financings, M&A, securities law, and tax law. He is also experienced in advising startups, funds, investors, mining pools, and others in the cryptocurrency and blockchain space. Habeeb has helped with ICOs and other token offerings, navigating MSB and securities regulation, and the intersection of blockchain and crypto with various regulatory regimes.

Michelle Bodian serves as counsel in Vicente Sederberg’s Boston and New York offices, where she is co-chair of the firm’s Hemp and Cannabinoids Department and Grants and Loans practice group. In addition, Michelle leads the firm’s Environment, Health & Safety practice group and is a leading member of the firm’s cannabis licensing and regulatory compliance efforts in Connecticut and New York.

Andrew serves a unique role as an economist, business analyst, and general cannabis policy wonk for the firm. As director of economics and research, he helps clients develop and expand their enterprise across cannabis markets nationally and internationally.
