Chloe has advised local, state, and national government officials and developed policy solutions for public and private sector entities. She is a member of the Minority Cannabis Business Association’s Policy Committee, and she plays a leading role in the National Cannabis Industry Association Policy Council.
Barton is principal attorney and founder of Cannabis Legal Group, a Michigan based firm specializing in marijuana-related legal issues, including criminal defense, business law, licensing, land use, compliance, and intellectual property. He is also a council member of the Marijuana Law Section of the Michigan Bar Association.
Colorado Licensing Supervisor
As a former licensing supervisor for the Denver Department of Excise and Licenses, Jenny's expertise and knowledge of local and state licensing procedures make her uniquely qualified to assist with new licensing applications, renewals, ownership changes, corporate structure changes, and other marijuana-related licensing needs.
Prior to joining VS, Phil served as Chief Operating Officer of a Massachusetts medical marijuana dispensary, gaining invaluable insight into the industry and related legal issues. He has practiced commercial law in Boston for over 25 years, with a focus on business bankruptcy, reorganizations, and personal insolvency matters.
Brian played a leading role in drafting Colorado's legalization initiative, Amendment 64, as well as the successful campaign in support of its passage. He heads up VS's merit-based licensing team and has helped cannabis companies win licenses in several of the most competitive state programs around the country.
Sahar specializes in cannabis banking and regulation, and she is a member of the National Cannabis Industry Association Banking Access Committee. As Chief Advisor on Banking Policy to the California Growers Association, she works on strategy and legislation to help cannabis businesses obtain accounts at depository institutions.
