Alex Lamphier is an associate attorney at Vicente Sederberg’s Boston office, where he specializes in corporate law, as well as licensing and regulatory compliance. In addition to helping clients navigate the medical and adult use marijuana licensing processes in Massachusetts and Maine, he routinely advises clients on critical day-to-day matters related to entity formation, corporate governance, capital raising, and in negotiating various commercial agreements. Alex’s practice is centered around working with cannabis businesses, investors, and other industry stakeholders to structure complex transactions, often involving multiple layers of regulatory frameworks.
While attending Boston College Law School, Alex served as President of the school’s Business and Law Society and served as a law clerk at VS’s Boston office. He was also a student advocate with the Legal Services Center of Harvard Law School’s Veterans Law Unit, where he represented veterans in administrative appeals and proceedings before the US Department of Veterans Affairs.
Prior to attending law school, Alex obtained his bachelor's degree from the Isenberg School of Management at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, where he was a member of the Commonwealth Honors College. After obtaining his undergraduate degree, Alex was a hockey coach and analyst for several NCAA programs and private academies. Outside of his work in cannabis, Alex enjoys fishing, golfing, playing hockey, and spending time with his dog, Annie.
