Overview

Jennifer Cabrera is counsel at Vicente Sederberg and co-manages the firm’s New York office. She primarily helps clients with regulatory and commercial matters relating to cannabis and hemp, with a focus on the New York and New Jersey markets. She has worked with cannabis companies since 2014 and has been an active proponent of legalization and social justice efforts in New Jersey.

With over a dozen years of experience in dispute resolution, Jennifer also advises clients on their commercial disputes. She understands that no one wants to find themselves in a dispute, and works with clients to find cost-effective and lasting solutions. Prior to joining VS, Jennifer managed a boutique law firm which gave her a crucial perspective on the experience of business owners. She began her legal career at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP, representing clients in complex commercial disputes.

Jennifer holds degrees from the University of Texas at Austin, Harvard Law School, and the University of Cambridge. She previously served as adjunct faculty at the law schools of Duke, Fordham, and St. John’s.
