Justin Johnson helps clients navigate the complex marijuana regulatory framework and negotiates with regulators on behalf of cannabis business owners, investors, and other individuals seeking local and state licensure. He advocates for hemp industry clients and assists hemp and CBD businesses with regulatory issues, helping to mitigate risks and ensure compliance with state and federal agencies. Justin also consults on risk management, business due diligence, and business contracts for a variety of commercial and regulatory cannabis matters.
In addition to his work with Colorado businesses, Justin advises on international regulatory and import/export cannabis issues for emerging Latin American markets, with a focus on Spanish-speaking countries such as Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Mexico, and Uruguay.
Prior to joining Vicente Sederberg, Justin consulted with international companies regarding complex litigation cases and discovery issues. A passionate consumer advocate, Justin has represented low-income individuals with a variety of consumer issues, and he helped lead the U.S. Department of Justice's investigations into fraudulent mortgage-backed securities.
