Elliot Choi to Co-chair Cannabis Law Program at NYSBA Annual Meeting

VS counsel Elliot Choi is a program chair for the New York State Bar Association annual meeting's cannabis law program and will moderate a session featuring two of Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s top officials working on cannabis policy issues. Norman Birenbaum, who serves as director of cannabis programs for the New York State Executive Chamber and president of the Cannabis Regulators Association (CANNRA), will provide an overview of CANNRA’s objectives and how they could affect cannabis legislation and regulations in New York and the Northeast. Axel Bernabe, Assistant Counsel for Health to Gov. Cuomo, will provide medical cannabis and hemp policy updates and discuss what is next for adult-use legalization in the Empire State.
