Michelle Bodian and Jen Flanagan to present at NECANN's 2022 New York Cannabis Convention

VS counsel Michelle Bodian and VS director of regulatory policy Jen Flanagan are scheduled to present at NECANN's 2022 New York Cannabis Convention on August 26th and August 27th, respectively.

The event is presented by NECANN, the leader in locally-focused cannabis industry events since 2014. NECANN's goal is to ensure that everyone will leave the event with more information, motivation, and tools to assist their growth in the local cannabis market. This event brings together a wide selection of guest speakers with two full programming tracks each day focused 100% on the New York market, as well as some of the most significant individuals in the local cannabis community, all under one roof.

New York's conditional adult use retail applications are just around the corner. Michelle Bodian of Vicente Sederberg LLP's New York office will lead attendees in an insightful boot camp outlining, from soup to nuts, what new business owners need to know to submit successful applications AND critical missteps that could cost you a license.

Topics will include corporate formation, selecting a name, evidencing status as a justice involved individual, understanding the regulations, drafting licensing application, selecting a site, and more. A live demonstration of the New York licensing portal will be provided to familiarize applicants with the technology and provide tips and tricks they'll need to navigate the Business Express Portal.
