Vicente Sederberg LLP Clients Win Competitive Medical Marijuana Licenses in Missouri

Mar 2, 2020

Missourians voted in favor of medical marijuana legalization in November 2018, but it wasn’t until December 2019 and January 2020 that Missouri’s Department of Health and Senior Services (DHSS) released the license winners.

After a highly competitive application process with over 2,163 applications received, DHSS awarded 60 licenses for medical marijuana cultivation facilities, 86 licenses for infused products manufacturing facilities, 192 licenses for medical marijuana dispensary facilities issued by U.S. congressional district, and 10 certificates for testing laboratories.

We’re proud to say that several of those license winners were Vicente Sederberg LLP clients!

In the competition to win a medical marijuana testing facility certificate, our client’s application received the highest score of any lab applicant, securing one of only ten testing facility licenses issued in Missouri. This score was also the highest score given program-wide, across all facility types.

In addition to winning the first testing facility license and receiving the highest scoring application in the state, VS clients were awarded the following:

Nearly all winning applications prepared by VS scored in the top twelve submissions for the respective districts, and, in some cases, in the top fifteen overall.

Vicente Sederberg’s licensing team has submitted applications in competitive processes in more than two dozen states, Canada, and Puerto Rico, building an unparalleled record of success. Click here to learn more about our licensing team.
